This documentary captures the first 40 years of the Centre for Education, Law and Society – the only Endowed research centre in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. Topics addressed include: establishing a research centre, developing an endowment, challenges of minoritized leadership, biographies of the Director and co-founders, curriculum and research highlights. As well, the details of Director Dr. Wanda Cassidy’s retirement in 2022, and the beginning of the next chapter of the Centre’s life as the Cassidy Centre for Educational Justice are discussed.
