The Black History and Anti-Racism in Canada document is a curriculum resource for educators to utilize when teaching about Black Canadian history and anti-racism in Canada. The resource guide provides historical context while highlighting significant events and personalities in Black Canadian history such as the Underground Railroad, Africville, and Viola Desmond. It also includes anti-racist and inclusive teaching practices such as creating safe and respectful learning environments, building cultural competence, and engaging in meaningful conversations about race and racism.
