The Cassidy Centre for Educational Justice congratulates Dr. Amy Parent (Sigidmnak Noxs Ts’aawit) on being recognized at the 2026 YWCA Women of Distinction Awards.

Dr. Parent, CCEJ Associate Director, UNESCO Co-Chair in Transforming Indigenous Knowledge Research Governance & Rematriation, and Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Research Governance and Education, was honoured for her leadership and research in rematriation, BC First Nations women’s governance, Indigenous knowledge systems, and reconciliation.

We are honoured to learn from and work alongside Dr. Parent as she continues this vital work.
