Wesselhoeft, K. (2021, May 6). A French Inquisition: France’s Crackdown on Muslim Life in the Name of Public Order. The Revealer. https://therevealer.org/a-french-inquisition-frances-crackdown-on-muslim-life-in-the-name-of-public-order/

To regulate Muslim life, the French government closed numerous mosques and Muslim organizations, and introduced new laws. France justified monitoring Muslims by noting the rise of violence by Muslims. In addition, Muslims are deemed as a threat of fraternite. Monitoring Muslims will also safeguard the public order. The discourse surrounding “Islamo-facism” and “Islamo-leftisim” in France is discussed.
