To challenge stereotypes about Muslim women, Vogue collaborated with Muslim women across the United States to share their experiences and perspective. The Ask a Muslim Girl video linked in this website features numerous young Muslim women from varying background to demonstrate that Islam and Muslims are not a homogenous group. The video also highlights what Islam and being Muslim means to them and what draws them to their faith. The Muslim girls also address the stereotypes that are assigned to Muslim women such as being oppressed and how this impacts them.
