Muslim charity organizations, such as the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), are legally challenging against systemic Islamophobia. The legal challenge aims to stop a federal audit by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Lawyers and activists have argued that the reasons for audits are rooted in systemic Islamophobia as other religious organizations would not have been subjected to federal audits.

The Teaching Against Islamophobia resources were developed with funding support from the Law Foundation of BC, and the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies at SFU.
