In order to help educators use the New Life in a New Land video series, an educator’s guide was created to supplement the project. This resource includes a guide for three episodes from the series. The first episode guide discusses about the history of Muslims in Canada, the Muslim community in Canada, Muslim women in Canada, the role mosques,  and issues relating to refugees and immigration. Episode two features the concept of life and death in Islam, the five pillars of Islam, and how do Muslims balance life, career, and family. Episode three includes information about Muslims and how they are involved in their communities. Each episode guide includes questions for discussion and activities. This resource guide also includes a glossary and a teachers’ guide to help teachers address the needs of Muslim students.

The Teaching Against Islamophobia resources were developed with funding support from the Law Foundation of BC, and the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies at SFU.
