This article discusses the film What Walaa Wants. The film features the story of Walaa, a young Palestinian woman living in the West Bank. Walaa is a strong, defiant teen who joins the Palestinian Security force. The film highlights Walaa’s relationship with her mother, her experience in the camp, and how her character develops along the years.
