This article provides information of Islam, specifically Islam in Canada. The roots and meaning of the term Islam are outlined. In addition, the notion of sharia law, the history and importance are demonstrated. The article also notes the varying acts of worship Muslims practice, such as the five pillars of Islam. Topics such as the creed of Islam, Islam in Canada, Islamic denomination, challenges faced by Muslims, and Islam in Canada today are addressed. Further reading about this topic is also recommended.
