No, “Islamic indoctrination” was not introduced in Canadian public schools. (2019, March 7). AFP Fact Check. https://factcheck.afp.com/no-islamic-indoctrination-was-not-introduced-canadian-public-schools

A post shared on Facebook articulated a warning to Canadian parents about the implementation of sharia law and the Islamization of public schools. The post accuses Justin Trudeau and the federal Liberal party for introducing Islamic ideology. However, this claim is false as the education system is secular and does not promote a specific religious ideology. Moreover, education is a provincial matter and is not dictated by federal policies. Lastly, the perceived promotion of Islam through events such as World Hijab Days are highlighted by individuals to demonstrate the indoctrination of Islam. However, World Hijab Day is not part of the curriculum and the goal of the event is to break stereotypes about the hijab.
