Many Muslim children in American experience some form of anti-Muslim bullying in school, such as being mocked by their peers and/or teachers. Muslim students who experience this discrimination begin to view these interactions as normal and feel as though they can do nothing about it. Parents should teach their children that anti-Muslim rhetoric and hate speech is unacceptable and to stand up against it.

The Teaching Against Islamophobia resources were developed with funding support from the Law Foundation of BC, and the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies at SFU.
