This is an article by Mohammad Hassan Khalil, associate professor of religious studies and director of the Muslim Studies Program at Michigan State University. He provides an analysis about the difference between jihad and terrorism and why some use the two interchangeably and how violent radicals justify their heinous crimes by citing jihad related traditional Islamic sources.
