The Government of Canada hosted a National Summit on Islamophobia to address the salient issue of Islamophobia and other forms of racism in Canada. The Government provided a platform for Muslim organizations to address ways in which varying levels of government can combat Islamophobia. As a result of the Summit, the Government committed to engaging with Muslim communities on the anti-racism action plan; adjustments to various government programs; building digital literacy and dismantling misinformation; providing resources; and conducting studies to address concerns pertaining to Muslim organizations.

The Teaching Against Islamophobia resources were developed with funding support from the Law Foundation of BC, and the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies at SFU.
