Chapter 5: Muslim Views on Gender Issues in Unfavourable Views of Jews and Muslims on the Increase in Europe highlights individuals’ opinion regarding wearing the veil and who should dictate women’s veiling practices. The survey suggests that most people believe that veiling should be a decision women make for themselves. However, there are still individuals in some countries who disagree. In addition, the issue of women and men in the workplace was also analyzed. The survey notes that most people reject restrictions regarding men and women working together. Individuals in countries in Egypt and Jordan, however, still favour restrictions.
