CURRICULUM LIBRARY
In this section of our website, you will find curricular resources to support your classroom practice across the school spectrum. There are resources here that can be used in the Elementary, Secondary, and Post-Secondary settings. We post both original materials developed by the CCEJ team, and other resources our team finds which we believe align with our mission, values, and approach to pedagogy. That approach is rooted in an “issues based” or “problem posing” pedagogy in the constructivist tradition of John Dewey, Paulo Freire, and bell hooks. This approach organizes curriculum and lesson planning around issues rather than isolated content. While content knowledge is, of course, important, the issues based approach believes that content in context ensures greater interest, retention, and critical thinking. This page will regularly have materials added. Feel free to sign up for our monthly email list that will alert subscribers to new content on the site.
